SOILS IMPROVEMENT USING FLOBOND POLYMERS

WHAT IS FLOBOND?
FLOBOND is a range of soils conditioners Polyacrylamide based (PAM). They are anionic hydrosolubles polymers, of high molecular weight.
"FLOBOND" products allow to reduce soil erosion due to water and wind effects, and to increase its permeability.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
FLOBOND allows the binding of the fine particles of the soil susceptibles to be carried away by the water in the surface.
When the polymer is dissolved in water the dissociation of the Potassium ion leaves a negative charged zone in the molecule, where the colloidal particles of the soil will fix (the ratio n/m varies from 0 to 100 and it gives anionicity to the PAM).

FLOBOND + FINE SOIL PARTICLES = BINDER (SOIL COHESION)

FLOBOND ADVANTAGES
FLOBOND allows the increasing of the weakly structured soils cohesion : less sediments are carried away by the water. Result: 95% less erosion average.
The soil porosity is equally preserved, this facilitates an excellent water infiltration (over 35% in clayey/slimy soils and over 50% in clayey soils).
FLOBOND remarkably reduces the detriment or nutrients escape (84% less for phosphates and nitrates) and pesticides (Atrazina, Triflularina, etc.).
FLOBOND improves the germination rate up to 35% for those plants susceptibles to incrustration in the soil (for example beet and leguminosae).

USAGE ADVICES

POWDER PRODUCT
Pour slowly into irrigation water, a light shaking avoids the particles binding.
As water temperature increases, the product dissolves faster.

FLOBOND products increase water viscosity. In case the powder gets sticked in the equipments, do not use water, instead, remove it with a shovel or use suction. Only once the powder has been separated and removed, spray the pieces to be cleaned with much water.

EMULSION PRODUCT
Insert it by pressure to the system before the injection.
It is necessary one holder valve on the injection system.

MORE INFORMATION
For the previous cleaning of the equipments, insuflate compressed air into the powder pieces. Then spray with "hypo" (Sodium Hypoclorite) those equipments where FLOBOND will be used in solution.
Avoid the skin and eyes contact (it is recommended to wear gloves and spectacles or glasses).
It is also suggested to wear a mask (breathing protector) againts the powder.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Under the UV rays and the microbiological attacks, FLOBOND is degraded in a natural way in the soil forming Amonnium Dioxide Carbon, Water and Amonnium Nitrate. The nytrogen group of the molecule is quickly consumed by the soil bacteria. The carbon group is degraded approximately 10/15% per year according to the intensity of the UV rays action.
There is no toxicity reported neither in the water nor in the soils.The product is approved by the US FDA and by the Ministry of
Health of France as additive for water treatment.
The product concentration in water is null 30 minutes after the end of the application.
The effectiveness lasting FLOBOND in farming varies from four to eight weeks depending on the Agro - climatic conditions.

STORAGE CONDITIONING AND CAUTIONS

FLOBOND products are available in different ways: Powder, Emulsion or Tablets. The conditioning for each type is indicated in the technical report (See table next page).
FLOBOND products must be storaged in dry fresh places (from 0 to 35º C).

1 to 2 kg/ha irrigated. The product is diluted in  irrigation water.

In the 1º watering after the sowing, then every 2 waterings. The product is dissolved directly in irigation water. After each job in the surface it is necessary a new application.

1. Powder
1.1 Pammeter: electrical distributor with 12v battery.
1.2 Mechanical band distribuidor.

2. Emulsion
2.1 Dosifying Pump.
2.2 Venturi System.

3. Tablets
3.1 No equipment if the tablet is placed at the beginning of the  watering.
3.2 In a "basket" sunk in the irrigation channeling.

Spray Irrigation

Flobond is injected as  emulsion through all the  spray system

3 to 6 l/ha or more for sensitive soils and  gradient higher than 3.5%. The product is injected in the channeling.

Pluvial Irrigation

Flobond is scattered as powder

5 to 10 kg/ha. The powder is  scattered in the recently treated soil.

Whether at the sowing time, with a low volume expander or  inmediately after the sowing  mixed with mannure.

Distributor device assembled over a  sowing machine. Applied to the sowing line with a sowing machine with micro-granulator.
